Every town has "that one road" or "that one bridge." What is the specific urban legend from your hometown that terrified you as a kid?

In my town, there’s a haunted cemetery where people claim to see shadows moving among the headstones at night. It really gave me chills as a kid when my friends dared me to go there after dark!

in my hometown outside of Nashville, there used to be a lot of history locally centered around horses and horse racing. (we were actually a hot bed of horse racing before the Civil War) There was a horse farm (plantation?) outside of town known as Bayraven. There's a small family cemetery spot on the perimeter of the old estate that's long had a certain mystique to it and people often dare others to park on the side of the little narrow road that runs along the side of the cemetery where something might just make its presence known by brushing up against the side or top of the car!
